A local writer by the name of Mr Cheong came to talk at our school today. What set me listening wasn't his bright yellow hair, nor because I was a fan, goody bags( which the sec 1s were yelling for) or honestly his book ( you can't blame me, because I've never heard of it till today )
He said, to be a successful writer, you've got to be interested in people and kind of be a people observer. Now I know why I like Photography, because everything that I have interest in tells a story and stories are what runs my life, and yours too of course.
Last year for poetry inspiration I sat in the park and observed people. In secondary 2 , I used my recollections from England and Willian Wordsworth to compose the "the boy who heeded not". Reading back, it seems like a pretty stupid poem, but it was a stepping stone towards poetry and my new found interest. Actually what really got me writing that, was when I read "the idiot boy" by William Wordsworth in York, England one really cold and eerie night.I remember squeezing in with Morena on a single bunk, there was 8 of us in that hostel room but we only occupied 4 beds because we were freaked out by the spook tour earlier on. LOL...it was so fun!
A blog is but a naval base, where I admit everyting is from my point of view. Stories differ, and they are not so one sided. But isn't a blog suppose to be about what I think and how I feel? I've actually never thought of a blog as a starting point towards Writing or to blog formally. Maybe its because I've been writing occasionally but I've never pressed on for more than 30 pages. I'd give up xP Maybe when I have the time, I'd be able to WRITE properly and someday publish a book.(((((((((: lol
